If you are just in need of a coffee and a decadent croissant, Coffee Anthology and The Whisk have you covered, but for a full sit down breakfast, Fika is serving up the likes of house made crumpets with field and sautéed urban valley mushrooms, truffle butter and parmesan crisps, as well as blueberry pancakes covered with lemon curd, blueberry compote, citrus cream and toasted almonds.

We bloody love , and not just because they pour some of the best brews on the block, but because they are one of the few places in the city centre that serve an absolutely cracking breakfast all day long. Notable for their grungy laneway seating, more than lives up to their name with a rotation of the latest and greatest blends in specialty coffee. You may better know Bar Miette as a wine bar, but come sunrise, they’re one of Brisbane’s most scenic breakfast spots. The Bar Miette breakfast menu is sleek and refined. Think hot smoked trout toasties with piles of cream cheese and lashings of dill layered on rye bread. Or what about their heirloom zucchini quiche with sweet, caramelised onion, Gruyère and provolone? Come on the weekend and you really do have to try their signature egg and bacon bap.
