Landing in Windsor’s new Colwill Place development, Bear Boy Espresso will be familiar to anyone who’s visited the Gold Coast cafe of the same name, but if you haven’t, you’re in for a real treat. The cosy new space has replicated a few of the design features from its big brother, including the pink marble counter and that adorable logo on the wall. Here though, it’s more than just the counter that’s pink, with the whole interior a shade of coral, including a curved booth for larger groups in one corner. As well as indoor seating, there’s also a sunny deck outside, perfect for breezy mornings.
The menu has been adopted from that of the Gold Coast cafe, featuring the likes of mango and coconut hotcakes with mango coulis, Coyo ice cream, fresh mango and passionfruit curd; sweet corn and zucchini fritters with red pepper jam and rocket; and the epic buttermilk fried chicken and poached eggs with sriracha hollandaise on a sweet waffle.
After something a little less calorific? Bear Boy also dishes up a handful of healthful bowls, from acai bowls with granola and other toppings to nectarine and sweet potato salad. There’s also a handful of burgers on the menu if breakfasting after midday just isn’t for you, and a lengthy list of drinks, from probiotic kombucha to Single O coffee and chai lattes.
