If you’re a fan of Opa Bar + Mezze, Massimo Restaurant & Bar and Yamas Greek + Drink, not to mention the once iconic George’s Paragon, then you’ll want to know about the latest venue from the team behind them all, a seafood-centric spot in Portside Wharf dubbed Fosh.
Featuring an incredible $3 million fit-out, this Hamptons-inspired restaurant is perched right on the river, meaning it boasts uninterrupted water views. A elegant stone palette seen across plush seating and floor-to-ceiling drapes is paired with dark wooden tables and ample greenery, with an al fresco dining area perfect for relaxed meals with your crew.
The menu from head chef Vikrash Gurung, previously of Greca, Fatcow, Rico and Jellyfish, is all about fresh seafood that’s caught and served on your plate within 24 hours—think local line caught fish, oysters, prawns, scallops and even caviar bumps. Start with nostalgic fish finger sandwiches and cured ocean trout with labneh and pickled cucumber before moving on to hot or cold seafood platters, Singapore chilli mud crabs straight from the tank or 1kg pots of mussels in white wine and garlic sauce.
Not a seafood lover? Don’t worry, there’s eats for you too, including hefty steaks and twice cooked chicken to pair with sides of Paris mash or fried greens. If you’re after something a little more casual, there’s also a takeaway spot right next door, Fosh Tails, which dishes up classic fish and chips, burgers, prawn buckets and more.
If you love meal deal though, you'll want to head in for their nine-course . Available for lunch and dinner before 6pm every day (early bird dinner, anyone), it features whipped taramasalata, soft brioche, natural oysters, scallop crudo, fish curry, fluffy roti, a sirloin steak, crispy fries and a chef's dessert. Talk about a bargain.
