The Verdict

There's nothing fishy about Let Minnow Cafe & Bar. Housed in what was once the Clayfield Aquarium, the family run spot is all about seasonal fare created by talented chefs coupled with exceptional service, all of it dished up in a laid-back yet sophisticated space.

Despite the name, you won't find any seafood on the menu here—unless it's the blue swimmer crab omelette with dill, capers, pickled onions and sourdough, of course. There's plenty of non-fishy brunch options though, from the strawberries and cream french toast to the corn and quinoa fritters with avocado and tomato salsa (and bacon if you wish, because who doesn't add bacon?).

To drink with your chosen breakfast, you'll find Bear And The Beard beans being ground for smooth lattes, alongside Prana chai lattes, a range of teas, milkshakes, thickshakes, smoothies and freshly squeezed juices.
