West End’s West Village just keeps getting tastier with every new venue that lands in the precinct, and its latest unveiling is continuing the trend. Zazu Dining & Bar is a sleek and moody new spot dishing up a mix of modern Euro and pan-Asian cuisines—and one iconic Brisbane dish. 

That dish is Gillian Hirst’s famous sandcrab lasagne, originally created for the now closed Il Centro. You’ll find it on the menu alongside a round up of crowd favourite dishes like bao buns, chicken karaage, burrata, rustic pizzas and even a slow cooked lamb shoulder on the bone loaded up with salsa verde. Meanwhile the drinks list offers up mini as well as full size cocktails for whether you’re driving or just want to be able to try more—our pick is the Negroni Cloud, which comes topped with fluffy pineapple foam.
