In a move to get us supporting small businesses in the aftermath of Omicron, the Victorian Government has announced a whopping to support hospitality, tourism and entertainment, including a relaunch of the awesome Melbourne Money vouchers.
Offering 25 per cent back at restaurants, bars and cafes (up to $125 back when you spend between $40 and $500 between Mondays and Thursdays) the Melbourne Money vouchers will swing back into action around Monday 7 March, with an additional $30 million going towards extending the initiative to venues in regional areas across the state kicking in around 29 March.
On top of the dining initiatives, a $30 million Entertainment Voucher Scheme will reimburse part of the cost of tickets to movies, the theatre, gigs, exhibitions, conferences and other special events, while the Regional and Metropolitan Travel Voucher Scheme will give away 150,000 $200 vouchers for tourism and travel services over $400 booked for April and May. Both will become available in late March.
