Whether you celebrate Easter or not, we can all agree that the four-day weekend is a welcome one at that, and a great opportunity to catch up with friends and family while letting someone else do all the cooking and cleaning—surcharges are totally worth it.
Whether you're wondering what's on Good Friday or Easter Sunday, here’s your list of what to do over the Easter long weekend in Melbourne for 2025:
What To Eat
There's heaps of special treats on over Easter that are sure to fill your belly and your heart. There's so many in fact we've had to put all of Melbourne's best hot cross buns in one article for you, but everything else you have to try is below:
Society
80 Collins Street, Melbourne
Nothing says Easter like roast lamb, especially when you don’t have to cook it yourself (am I right?). Luckily for us, Society is serving up an Easter menu which ticks all the boxes. Roasted lamb shoulder with dijon and fine herbs, followed by access to the Easter edition of Society’s famed dessert trolley. And of course, it wouldn’t be a real celebration without Champagne—especially when it’s half price. There’ll be a selection of bottles from the sommelier’s selection to choose from, as well as some limited time cocktail specials.
If you’re after something slightly more relaxed this Easter, head to Society’s adjoining little sister venue Lillian Brasserie. A classic fish & chips dish will be served throughout the weekend, as well as the venue’s regular à la carte offerings.
THE DETAILS
How much: $99pp for the Easter menu, $44pp for children for Society’s Easter menu.
When: Dinner on Thursday 17 April - Saturday 19 April, all day Sunday 20 April.
