With over 12,000 species of wildflower popping up each year across WA, its no surprise our own backyard is a playground of pink boronias, red and green Kangaroo Paws and orange flowering Banksias, you just have to know where to look.
Fun fact: 60% of WA's wildflowers are not found anywhere else in the world, so that makes spotting them all the more enjoyable. Here's where to find a bunch of them in Perth.

With views of the city and beach, is also home to more than 1000 species of flora and fauna, including wildflowers. Thanks to its possie, nice and close to the coast, keen eyes can spot Pink Fairy Orchids and Geraldton Wax among the burgeoning flora. If you’re feeling peckish after your hike, why not stop off at Mary Street Bakery to treat yourself.

If you can tear your eyes away from the stunning city and Swan River vistas at this spring, you'll definitely spot some wildflowers. With more than 30,000 of them blooming across the massive urban park, you're sure to spot at least a dozen of the 40 species on show.
Lesmurdie Falls National Park

Take a short drive up to the Hills and you can see everything from Acacias to Calytrix. With hills full of wildflowers and various walking trails to suit everyone, is the perfect place to spot wildflowers. This area is not only well known for its orchids but also the spectacular views all the way to the city.

On the fringes of Perth's metro area, is where you can spot everything from Kangaroo Paws and Hakea, to Chorizema and Orchids. If you have time to hang around, why not make a day of it and pack a picnic or fire up the BBQ.
Chittering Valley

is pretty throughout the year, but particularly so in spring when it's flooded with wildflowers. Pack a picnic and take the for a scenic sojourn through the beautiful valleys. Along the way stop off at walking trails, orchards and wineries.

is home to over a dozen species of orchid, which means you’re sure to see plenty of wildflowers blooming. Not only famous for flowers, it’s definitely worth doing the heritage trail so you can immerse yourself in the history of the area. If you’re not only searching for flowers, you can find the perfect coffee just around the corner at 96 Degrees Cafe.

With Bee Orchids, Wattles and Buttercups on offer, you’ll constantly stop to look at flowers in . If you’re spending the day in Mandurah, try out for delicious baked goods and fresh juices.
Ellis Brook Valley
Gosnells
Wildflowers in are at their peak right now and being home to over 500 species of flowers, you are sure to spot something worth seeing. If you’re feeling peckish after all the exploring, Ellis Brook makes for a great place to enjoy a picnic.
Rottnest Island

If you’re planning a quick getaway to , why not check out the famous Blue Rottnest Daisy wildflower while you’re there.
