Although nasi lemak originates from neighbouring Malaysia, its affordability and availability has made it one of Singapore's most popular food dishes. While there are plenty of variations, nasi lemak usually consists of a heap of coconut milk and pandan-infused rice, a generous serving of sambal, toasted peanuts, ikan bilis (dried anchovies), a fried egg, and slices of cucumber. Then you add a serve of fried chicken on the side—yes, it’s a total feast for the senses.
Traditionally eaten at breakfast but delicious any time of the day, here's where to find the best nasi lemak in Singapore according to the OB真人视讯 team.

The team at have spent many years researching and uncovering a huge range of regional recipes with a particular focus on understanding how nasi lemak is served across Southeast Asia. “In Singapore, we count ourselves privileged to be able to draw from a melting pot of cultures and acknowledge the origin where our recipes are rooted. Ultimately, we want to bring our love for coconut milk to the world, through the lens of comforting, unassuming dishes that best represent our favourite lemak food,” explains Daniel Sia, Managing Partner of The Coconut Club.
Their signature chicken nasi lemak, which is served between 11am to 2.30pm and again from 6pm to 9.30pm, comes with a serving of coconut rice, fried egg, anchovies, peanuts, cucumber and sambal. They also do an equally delicious rendang nasi lemak which features a dry curry of Australian beef cheek braised in spices and coconut milk.
Although The Coconut Club has various locations across Singapore, our favourite is their latest spot at New Bahru.
Boon Lay Power Nasi Lemak

has been selling their famed nasi lemak since 1971 and according to some, it’s the best in Singapore. But what makes it so good? The fact that it’s always served warm (which isn’t always the case), no matter what time of the day or how long you’ve had to queue for.
We recommend ordering the nasi lemak chicken wing set with an extra chicken wing and a side of sambal—don't worry, it's not too spicy.

Nusantara is the Indonesian name of Maritime Southeast Asia (or parts of it). It is an old Javanese term which literally means outer islands. Using old-school techniques alongside traditional Nusantara ingredients purchased fresh from the local markets, 's nasi lemak bunga telang includes fragrant blue pea rice served with crispy fried chicken, kacang ikan bilis, a fried egg, local cucumber and sambal tumis.

Priding itself on its distinct Indonesian slant to the heritage dish, is owned by the sister of another popular nasi lemak stall owner—although we are assured there's no sibling rivalry.
Their Bali famous chicken wing set comes with kecap manis (sweet soy sauce) fried chicken, fragrant coconut milk-infused Thai basmati rice, a fried egg, cucumber, roasted peanuts and ikan bilis, while the Bali delight set comes with the addition of a fried sotong ball (squid ball) and sauteed sambal petai (a type of bean) and okra (also known as lady fingers).

Their signature dish is the nasi lemak with ayam goreng berempah (spiced fried chicken) which comes with coconut rice, spicy sambal, a hardboiled egg, Nyonya acar (pickled vegetables), fried peanuts and anchovies. You can also choose your cut of chicken (drumstick, thigh or whole leg).
