The Verdict

Craving authentic, housemade pasta is a common occurrence, so when the next bout hits, head to Coolum Beach and check out Mr Mancino. 

This Italian restaurant opened its doors in 2019 and has been slinging hearty dishes of Italy our way since. 

Start with an entrée—wild mushroom arancini or beef carpaccio are a good way to go—before making way for a delectable main. On the menu you’ll find risotto, veal saltimbocca and eight-hour slow-cooked lamb shoulder but we all know pasta is where the real magic happens. 

At Mr Mancino, you select your style of pasta and then your sauce. Opt for spaghetti, fettucine, penne or gnocchi (go the gnocchi!) and then make what could be possibly the most difficult decision of the night, and choose between the likes of Napolitana, al olio, butter and sage (so good!) bolognese, marinara and more! Yep, the list goes on.  

Oh and a hot tip, owners Daniel and Lisa used to own a wholesale cake business, supplying Italian sweets to cafes and restaurants, so you’d be crazy to skip dessert.
