Interior of Smokey Moo

Smoky Moo is an American barbecue restaurant dedicated to slow cooked smoked beef, and nothing else. With a fit out designed to appeal to the urban cowboy in all of us, Smokey Moo’s interior features just enough corrugated iron, unfinished timber, cowhide leather and desert cacti to give off a Wild West vibe, without making you feel like you should be wearing a Stetson.

The menu is pretty much a meat eaters' playground, with slow-cooked cuts of beef smoked over black wattle and macadamia wood for eight to twelve hours making up the bulk of the menu, including brisket, beef ribs, pastrami and beef cheeks? You can order the meat by weight, at either 250g, 500g or 1kg (sharing recommended), as a platter with two sides like coleslaw and creamed corn, or in one of their signature dishes such as The Dirty Dozen, which features all four kinds of meat alongside a side of fries topped with mustard, cheddar, tomato sauce and caramelised onion.

If that wasn't enough to sway you, the drinks menu is worth visiting for all on it’s own. Knock back a Firewater, with cinnamon whiskey, iced tea, apple syrup, apple slices and a smoked cinnamon quill, a Dirty Harry Hard Lemonade or Smokey Old Fashioned. There’s also a selection of fine wines, and an impressive handcrafted beer selection, to wash down some of that all-American goodness.
